Fair Queen Candidate Union County Farm Bureau,
Inc. traditionally sponsors a Fair Queen candidate. This year Sarah McCashland was our candidate.

Daily Drawings
Farm Bureau Inc will continue with the daily drawing for $40 worth of food during fair week. Monday
$40.00 of pork, Tuesday $40.00 cheese tray, Wednesday $40.00 beef and the final day, Thursday's $40.00 of groceries. Participants
had to sign up daily to be eligible for that day's drawing. We also intrduced the question wheel to the fair and winners names
were put in for a gift drawning each night.

Trophies
Union County Fair Bureau made monetary donations to various things at the fair. They included numerous trophies, livestock
auction, and radio broadcast from the fair. Each 4-Her and mini 4-Her were given coupons for free ice cream or pop. In
2003 UCFB sponsored Skillathon. 4-H members were able to try their hands at livestock knowledge with different skills being
tested for all breed of livestock. Farm Bureau provided the awards in the US Savings Bonds. About 37 kids tried their
skills and were quite pleased with the results. Next year we hope the number that participates will be even larger. Go Union
County! Are you happy Brenda?
