Take-a-Break Take-a-Break bags were distributed
to Union County farmers during harvest. The activity is designed as a reminder to farmers to take a break. The most crucial
time of the day for farmers to get sleepy is between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. The bags contained: a can of pop, apple, cheesecrackers,gum,
candy bar, kleenex, band-aids, notebook and pencil.

FFA Banquet We have traditionally donated
door prizes to our Local FFA Chapter for their banquet. This year FFA gave awards to the boy and girl who had traveled the
most miles during FFA activities. Farm Bureau Inc donated travel carry on bags to the winners. FFA horse judging team won
fourth at state and was sent to Oklahoma to judge the Morgan Horse Nationals in October. This was the first time FFA had ever
won at State Horse Judging. Farm Bureau made a donation of $350 to help with the cost of the trip for the 4 member team and
sponsors.

Extension Annual Meeting Union County
Farm Bureau and Bath State Bank sponsor this meeting. We provide the meal.

Water Well Testing Union County Farm Bureau,
Inc. and Union County Soil and Water Conservation District subsidizeda water well testing program for Union County land owners
at a reduced cost. Whitewater Valley REMC paid for the advertising. Well owners could have their water tested for various
chemicals and metals. Union County Farm Bureau took care of distribution and collecting of the test kits.

Scholarship The Union County Farm Bureau,
Inc. Scholarship was established in March of 2000. Up to two $500.00 scholarships will be given each year. The winners were
invited to our Annual Meeting and presented with their check. This year's winner was Bethann Marker.

Coloring Contest Preschoolers, Kindergartners
and First Graders from local schools participate in the coloring contest sponsored by the Women's division. We usually have
over 175 participants.

Legislative Breakfast Union County Farm
Bureau Inc is sponsoring a legislative pancake breakfast for residents on April 3rd to talk and meet with our State Senator
and State Reprsentative. We also will have a representative from Indiana Farm Bureau's government division. Each person will
give an update on what is going on in the state house and then it is opened up for questions and concerns from the audience.
Many local government officials and school board members may attend.
