Take-a-Break
Take-a-Break bags were distributed to Union County farmers during harvest. The activity is designed as a reminder to farmers to take a break. The most crucial time of the day for farmers to get sleepy is between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. The bags contained: a can of pop, apple, cheesecrackers, gum, candy bar, kleenex, band-aids, notebook and pencil.

FFA Banquet
We have traditionally donated door prizes to our Local FFA Chapter for their banquet. This year FFA gave awards to the boy and girl who had traveled the most miles during FFA activities. Farm Bureau Inc donated travel carry on bags to the winners.
FFA horse judging team won fourth at state and was sent to Oklahoma to judge the Morgan Horse Nationals in October. This was the first time FFA had ever won at State Horse Judging. Farm Bureau made a donation of $350 to help with the cost of the trip for the 4 member team and sponsors.

Legislative Breakfast
Union County Farm Bureau Inc is sponsoring a legislative pancake breakfast for residents on April 3rd to talk and meet with our State Senator and State Reprsentative. We also will have a representative from Indiana Farm Bureau's government division. Each person will give an update on what is going on in the state house and then it is opened up for questions and concerns from the audience. Many local government officials and school board members may attend.
